I may be late to the party, but I will forever start every Norwegian Elkhound puppy in a puppy agility class rather than an obedience class. It's fun! The elkhound puppy gets to socialize with other breeds and most important, interact and engage with YOU! Elkhounds are not the best listeners, and don't naturally do everything that you want them to. I have found puppy agility to be the best for bonding with your elkhound so that they actually want to listen..because you are FUN!
